1. Apologies for absence
No apologies were received.
2. Feedback from GBWBA AGM
Rob Brown and Dave Heatherill attended the GBWBA AGM at Stoke Mandeville on 21 May 2005. They presented two proposals, that the GBWBA operated consistent and transparent rules regarding promotion and relegation and that the GBWBA introduce eligibility rules for players in the Fourth Division. They received positive feedback from both the GBWBA and other Clubs present.
3. Content of New Website
Rob Brown thanked Lee Jackson and Andy Atkinson for their work on the development of the Club’s new Website. The content was reviewed and feedback was given regarding presentation. The Website will now also be used to post agendas, minutes, scores, any other information the Club wishes to be circulated.
4. Club Tennis Tournament
Max has now booked the Court and participation forms have been distributed to Club members. Max is to order the trophies, and also, by the next meeting, to clarify whether we can cater for ourselves on the Huddersfield Tennis Club premises. Rob is to look in to the possibility of his brother being available to provide a Disco, again to feedback at the next meeting.
5. Subs
Payments for this year were due on 1 January. To date, payments received are low. Dave Heatherill reminded members again that these payments are needed as soon as possible. The rates for 2005 are:
£5.00 - aged 16 and under
£10.00 – Concessions
£15.00 – over 16s
6. Sunday Morning Training
The Club can now transfer back to Whitcliffe Mount on a Sunday morning, as the Sports Centre can match the price charged by Deighton. Dave Heatherill pointed out that moving back to Whitcliffe Mount was positive, all the Club’s equipment is stored here and there would be no transfers necessary. Dave to liaise with the Sports Centre and confirm Sunday morning training times by the next meeting.
